Athletics day is every term 4 at Massey Park. This athletics day I was very nervous and I will tell you in these next 4 paragraphs.

Long jump

When we got off of the bus and put our bags in the stadium, me and my friends went to go do long jump which was at the other slide of the track. When it was my turn I ran and I nearly touched the blue line but I jumped 2.80 meters.

800 meters

When it was time for the 800 meters race and shotput were at the same time and I had to do the track event first. And there were so many races going on, and my race was supposed to be at 11.50 but it started at 12.10. Then moments later Bang the two planks blasted against each other and then I ran and it was quite hard but I was determanatied and came forth out of 6 people.

Discus

Right after the 800 meters I went straight to Discus and I rushed it because I needed to get to shotput fast and I came second with 16.22 meters and then I ran to the shotput place.

Shot Put

As soon as I ran across the field to do my shot put, I rushed it to and for my first one I got 6.98 meters and the next 7 meters, I was filled with pride.

Conclusion 

I am very happy with my results, and when I told my mum and dad that sadly they didn’t come to athletic day with me they were very happy with me.
